In 2025, South Africans searched “security guard” (76.4) and “security companies” (65.2) far more than “private security” (31.2) or “armed response” (21.4). “Security companies” was searched about three times as often as “armed response”. These are yearly averages of weekly values, calculated by Just1. The fastest-rising “security guard” searches in 2025 included “cv for security guard” and “security guard report writing sample”, so some of those searches come from guards, not customers. Use “security company” and your town on your page, and list armed response, guarding and each other service you offer.
