Live Just1 customer site: Eye Candy
What’s the best way for a gift shop in South Africa to get a website?
A one-page website can show your gifts, art or decor with photos, and say if you do personalised or corporate gifts. Buyers can ask on WhatsApp. Just1 builds it over WhatsApp for R97 once-off, with the first 3 months online included, then R97 every 3 months. If you want changes after delivery, R199/month includes WhatsApp edits.

What SA customers do online when they need a gift shop

People search for gift ideas, not shops
In 2025, South Africans searched “gift ideas” (38) far more than “gift shop” (8), “personalised gifts” (2), “corporate gifts” (2) or “handmade gifts” (below 1). These are Google’s yearly averages for one comparison. Show the gifts themselves on your page, with photos and who each one suits.
Searches peak in December
From 2019 to 2025, Google searches for “gift shop” in South Africa averaged 71.4 in December, the highest month in every one of those 7 years. November (51.4) and February (47.9) came next; April was the lowest at 36. Have your Christmas gifts, photos and contact details on your page by November.
Personalised and corporate gift searches are rising
In 2025, rising searches in South Africa included “personalised father’s day gifts” (up 180%), “personalised wedding gifts” (up 160%), “corporate gift shop”, “corporate gifts cape town” and “corporate gifts durban” (each up 70%). If you make gifts with names on them, or gifts for weddings and companies, say so on your page.
Online gift stores fill the top of Google
On 4 November 2026, Google’s top 10 for “websites for gift shops south africa” was mostly online gift and hamper stores, such as GiftLady, Hamperlicious, Nifty Gifts and Local Is Lekker, plus a Tripadvisor list. Stats SA puts “other specialised stores” in its “all other retailers” group, which grew 8.1% year-on-year in real terms in August 2026. Your own page lets people who already know your name see your gifts and ask on WhatsApp.

Gift shop site we built
Eye Candy
Eye Candy is Maryke and Vee’s handmade art, stationery, gifts and decor from Meyerton, and the page is in Afrikaans. Each kind of work has its own card, and a section asks about personalised, corporate and wedding gifts. The page gives the gallery address in Highbury, Meyerton, so buyers can come and see the work, with WhatsApp and call buttons for Vee and Maryke.
We also build websites for jewellers, websites for art classes, websites for stationery suppliers, websites for clothing stores and websites for event planners.
