SAMBRA tells drivers to check reviews
Since 27 March 2025, Competition Commission guidelines say insurers must offer more choice of repairers in the customer’s area for out-of-warranty repairs, and publish a list of all their repairers. SAMBRA, the RMI’s body repair association, tells insured drivers to “check online reviews for the repairers on the list and ask for recommendations from family and friends.” A page with your work, reviews and address helps you get picked. Cars still under warranty go to manufacturer-approved repairers.
