What SA customers do online when they need a funeral home
Figures from Google Trends on how South Africans search for funeral parlours, funeral homes and funeral cover, which searches are growing, where they come from and when they dip.

People search for funeral cover far more than for parlours
In 2025, South Africans searched “funeral cover” (73) far more than “funeral services” (27), “funeral policy” (23), “funeral parlour” (12) or “funeral home” (12). These are Google’s yearly averages for one comparison. If you sell plans, say “funeral cover” on your page, with your plans and premiums.
People look up a parlour’s packages, prices and brochure
From 2019 to 2025, the fastest-rising searches in South Africa included “royal funeral parlour packages” and “broodie funeral parlour plans” (both Breakout), “funeral parlour near me” (+4,150%), and for funeral cover, “avbob funeral cover brochure pdf”, “capitec funeral cover brochure pdf” and “i makamu funeral cover prices” (all Breakout). People search a parlour by name to see its plans and prices, so put them on your page, with your flyer.

Funeral home site we built
Samketi Funerals
Samketi Funerals is based in Midrand and offers funeral cover across South Africa. The page shows every plan with its monthly premium and payout: single cover from R70/month for R10,000, and family cover for up to 16 members in two age groups. It lists the R100 joining fee, the waiting periods for natural and accidental death, and says claims are paid within 24 hours. The full flyer opens on the page, and people can WhatsApp, call or email one number. Funeral services are available on request.
We also build websites for attorneys, websites for accountants and websites for event planners.
