What SA customers do online when they need a diesel supplier
Figures from Stats SA on wholesale fuel sales, and from Google Trends on how South Africans search for diesel and fuel suppliers, where they search most and which searches are rising.

Fuel is the biggest part of wholesale trade
Stats SA says dealers in solid, liquid and gaseous fuels sold R240.5 billion from June to August 2026. That is the most of any type of wholesale dealer, and 21.3% more than in June to August 2025. These are current prices, so higher fuel prices are part of the rise. Make it easy for buyers to see what you supply and where you deliver.

In 2025, “diesel price” had a yearly average of 67 in Google searches in South Africa. “Diesel suppliers”, “bulk diesel”, “fuel suppliers” and “diesel delivery” were all under 1 on the same scale. The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources says fuel prices are adjusted monthly. Say on your page how you quote, or ask buyers to WhatsApp you for today’s price.

Diesel supplier site we built
Mastodon Energy
Mastodon Energy supplies diesel, petrol, jet fuel and illuminating paraffin wholesale across the whole of South Africa, and also transports these fuels, so supply and delivery can be arranged together. Each fuel has its own card with an Enquire button. Buyers pick diesel, petrol, jet fuel, illuminating paraffin or fuel transport, and their WhatsApp message is written for them. A short questions section says they serve the whole country, and buyers WhatsApp or call 065 550 6266.
We also build websites for couriers, websites for chemical companies, websites for forklift repairs, websites for removal companies and websites for laboratory suppliers.
